A brief background: Oberon Farris (or Ferris, if you look at his spelling issues) Grimshould is a shadow of a memory. He woke up on the close side of Nerea Lake with no clue of who he was, where he'd been, or anything about his past. He was a boy with no name, and was forced to live -and learn- on his own in a harsh nature. He soon made friends with an extended family of otters, and became one of their pack. That's when his world became... interesting. He shifted for the first time -as he could recollect- into one of the otters. At first he was shunned, even by his closest little pal. It took months for them to begin to trust him once again, but his nature was his nature and they took him back in. His humanoid form became useful for the family of otters as he could fish as well as they, and build easier than the male adults. He was accepted for the first time in his short life.
His second form, that of a seagull, came during a moment of extreme duress. He was being chased by a large man, oddly enough the man's name was Grimshould, after it was discovered that the boy had stole a loaf of bread from a small village baker. Upon entering the woods surrounding the lake, he felt trapped and sprung into the air while trying to climb a tree. The transformation took him by surprise but he soon lifted into the currents of air and sailed far above the man, the forest, and the lake. He has since been unable to shift into any other form.
Oberon took his three names from the only three people he had any contact with in his life as an orphan. Oberon was an old fisherman he met on the lake. He had saved the old man from drowning and they became friends. He would listen to the old man's stories on a nightly basis, until he passed. The second name, Ferris -or Farris- was the name of a young girl who would skip away from her work and chores to swim in the lake. They two met one day after a swim when he embarrassed her while she was coming out of the water without her clothes. Oberon didn't know this was wrong, and she had scalded him greatly before they became swimming friends. Finally, the large baker in a nearby village was probably one of the scariest men he had ever seen. He took the name in order to strike fear in the hearts of those who might abuse him, his animal friends, or the lakes he loves.
Oberon is shy, and quiet. He would study folk plenty before he approached them, or attempted a conversation. He stays to himself mostly, unless he is in the company of his animal companions. He knows he has abilities, but he is still learning what they are and how to control them. His real family, name, and history are still mysteries to him. All plots will be considered. A love interest would be highly likely for him considering his curiosity. It would be hard to make a new friend of Oberon, until he got to know you some. He is hyper, his mind wanders, and he often rattles on for hours to those who will listen. If you're interested in plotting with Oberon, post here or send me a message. Thanks for looking.
